Marissa Tromblee: Director of Membership at Dormie Network
From collegiate golfer to concierge to director of membership, Marissa Tromblee has carved out a standout path in a traditionally male-dominated sport, bringing a new perspective and an unwavering standard of excellence to what truly is the best hospitality in golf at Dormie Network.
Marissa Tromblee, Dormie Network Director of Membership
Marissa Tromblee’s journey is rooted in a lifelong love for the game of golf—and an unmatched ability to make people feel right at home, no matter what Dormie Network club they’re staying and playing at.
Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Marissa splits her hometown pride between Tucson and Phoenix, having lived in both for nearly equal parts of her life. Like many, Marissa was introduced to golf early in life thanks to family.
“I started playing golf at 5,” she says. “I wanted to do everything my older brother did. I then continued to play all the way through college at the University of Kentucky.”
Marissa joined the team at Briggs Ranch in 2015 as membership director, before it became a Dormie Network property. When Dormie Network acquired the club in 2017, she briefly transitioned to concierge to assist as the new casitas were being built.
As concierge, she elevated every member’s visit by thoughtfully tailoring trips to create a personalized experience. "We love getting to know our members so we can create the best possible experience for them, whether they’re looking for a golf-only getaway, a more relaxed tourist experience, or something in between," says Marissa. "We take care of everything, down to the smallest details like arranging a special meal or a favorite drink."

The Best Hospitality Experience in Private Destination Golf
What truly sets Dormie Network apart is its concierge program. Marissa describes it as unlike anything in the industry. While most private clubs may offer hospitality services upon request, Dormie Network takes a proactive, anticipatory approach.
It’s this member-first service that truly defines how the concierge team creates the best hospitality in golf. Whether members travel to GrayBull in rural Nebraska or Hidden Creek on the coast of New Jersey, they know they’ll be taken care of; so they can truly relax and enjoy themselves.
"When it comes to organizing a trip, our members have their own personal concierge to take care of the logistics—whether it’s scheduling a sprinter van or booking their cottage," explains Marissa. "It’s all part of the overall experience of being a Dormie Network member. It’s a fresh concept, and once our members experience it, they absolutely love it."

Why Dormie Network Membership is Great for Business Trips
The concierge team also plays a crucial role in supporting business trips. Hosting a corporate outing at one of Dormie Network’s clubs offers an exceptional way to entertain clients and colleagues. With top golf destinations in the country, Dormie Network impresses guests from the moment they arrive. Before and during the visit, the concierge team ensures a seamless, high-touch experience.
This hands-on approach extends to creating tournaments. “We’re able to organize large tournaments and other group events and outings, where members can entertain their guests and clients without having to look at their watches,” says Marissa.
The result? A hospitality-driven experience that strengthens client connections and reflects the high standards of your company.
Cultivating Connections Through Dormie Network Membership
In 2019, Marissa returned to the membership team, bringing with her a deep understanding of Dormie Network’s culture, standards, and member expectations. Now, as director of membership, she draws on her years of experience to build lasting relationships and help prospects join the best hospitality golf has to offer.
As one of the growing number of women in golf, Marissa is a trailblazer within the industry. We asked her a few questions to shed light on the membership experience at Dormie Network and her own journey.
How was the transition from concierge to membership team?
Marissa: “It was a natural transition, and it’s what I love to do. The best part of my day is connecting with new people daily. Over the years, many members have become more than just familiar faces; they’ve become friends and almost family. It means so much when they ask about my kids’ sports or check in on my family. That personal connection is what makes this feel less like a job and more like a calling. I’m thankful and blessed to have grown from playing golf competitively into a role with Dormie Network that champions my passion for pure golf. I feel like I have hit the jackpot for my job.”

What do you find most rewarding about being part of Dormie Network—both in your role as Membership Director and as a golfer?
Marissa: “What I love most about Dormie Network is the strong sense of family—it’s truly at the heart of everything we do. I genuinely enjoy getting to know our members, their children, and even their grandchildren. Building those multigenerational relationships is incredibly special. Whether it’s a ladies’ trip, a couple’s retreat, a corporate outing, or a getaway with friends, I look forward to knowing members across the entire Network and helping each club feel like a second home—a place where everyone feels welcomed, known, and cared for.”
As a woman in golf, what do you see as some of the unique benefits Dormie Network offers to female members?
Marissa: “Ladies have the opportunity to network and meet other women with similar interests. I’ve met so many amazing women in our membership who truly love the game of golf as much as I do, which is special to share that bond. With a growing collection of fun and dynamic clubs, Dormie Network offers a unique and welcoming space for women at every stage of their golf journey.”

What do you think makes the annual Dormie Network Ladies Member-Guest such a standout, memorable event for participants?
Marissa: “Now in its third year, the Ladies Member-Guest has significantly grown not just in size, but also in impact. It has provided a link and conversation amongst women who might have never crossed paths otherwise. We’ve seen it inspire more travel across the Network, as groups of women come together to experience different clubs and create new memories. Briggs Ranch, ArborLinks, and most recently Hidden Creek have all hosted Ladies Member-Guests. The clubs do a great job of making each group feel special when they come onsite and providing them with the extra details that the ladies love and care about.”
What would you share with women who are considering joining Dormie Network?
Marissa: “Dormie Network is a great membership for the beginner golfer to the competitive golfer. Our clubs offer welcoming, no-judgment spaces where women can feel comfortable learning, growing, and enjoying the game. We’re intentional about making each visit feel special, and I always encourage new members to never hesitate to ask for anything. We strive to go the extra mile to make every experience unforgettable.”
Do you have a favorite memory from a Ladies Member-Guest event?
Marissa: "One of my favorite memories was at ArborLinks in 2024, where we had a large group of women who were acquainted, but the event helped them form even more friendships and plan future trips across the network. Seeing all the ladies come together for the shootout was incredible. It made me so grateful to be part of such a special event."
What role does family play in your Dormie Network experiences, and how does it enrich the membership?
Marissa: "As a mom of two girls, I’m excited to see them grow up around golf just as I did. My kids are lucky enough to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Briggs Ranch, where I’m based. A great way to make the most of a Dormie Network membership is by bringing the whole family along. There’s so much for families to enjoy across the Network—from roasting s’mores and game nights in the Owner’s Cottage, to putting competitions under the lights or playing the par-3 Goat Trak at Ballyhack. Our team genuinely supports the growth of the game at the junior level. My kids love coming to visit Briggs Ranch, especially giving treats to Jack and Jose (the steer mascots). They love coming to “mommy’s work,” and sharing this part of my world with them is something I’ll always treasure."
