Did you know that females now make up 26% of on-course golfers? According to the 2024 National Golf Foundation Report, this marks the highest percentage of female participation ever recorded. Since 2019, female golfers have been the sport’s largest area of growth, and the momentum shows no signs of slowing down.

There’s something special happening for women in golf, and if you’re reading this, chances are you’re already a part of it.

At Dormie Network and Dormie Network Foundation we’re proud to champion the rise of girls and women in golf at every level of the game. Perhaps you’ve seen it in action at a LPGA*USGA Girls Golf event hosted at Hidden Creek, Ballyhack, and Briggs Ranch. Or maybe you’ve experienced it firsthand at one of our member-guest tournaments.

June is Women’s Golf Month

For women who live for the next trip, the next laugh, the next unforgettable round—you’ve come to the right place. Whether you’re traveling with longtime friends or connecting with someone new, every Dormie Network destination becomes a place to unwind, reconnect, and make the getaway feel like the highlight of your social calendar.

And there’s no better time to lean into that experience than now.

June marks Women’s Golf Month, a national celebration of the girls and women discovering golf—and all the doors it can open. It also includes Women’s Golf Day, a week-long event honoring girls and women discovering the game and building skills that last a lifetime.

More Than a Game: Why Women Should Play Golf

Golf is one of the most underrated tools for women, especially in business professional roles. It’s often on the course where the conversations happen naturally, business grows, and relationships are built.

Women should play more golf, simply because of the doors it opens. It creates access to decision-makers, builds confidence, and invites connection in a space where influence is earned over a shared game—not just shared titles.

But the benefits of golf and Dormie Network membership extend far beyond business. Golf teaches you how to stay calm under pressure, how to focus, and how to lead. It sharpens your mental game as much as your short game. Dormie Network’s private golf membership invites members to meet people you’d never otherwise cross paths with, to laugh with your besties over post-round drinks or walk side-by-side with a future mentor.

And let’s be honest—it’s a great excuse to buy that outfit you’ve been eyeing in the Golf Shop.

A Place for Women in Golf at Dormie Network

At Dormie Network, we’ve seen how transformative the game can be. Our collection of national clubs invites members to travel with purpose—to play, recharge, and connect. The single membership makes it easier than ever to turn a round of golf into a weekend getaway, a professional connection into a lasting friendship, and a new course into a place you can’t wait to return to. Every club in the Network becomes your home away from home—whether you're chasing birdies or just soaking up the experience.

“What stood out most was the spirit of hospitality—everyone felt truly welcomed and celebrated. It’s no small feat to make an event feel both first-class and deeply personal, but you all did just that. I left with a full heart, wonderful memories, and a deeper appreciation for this special community at both Hidden Creek and Dormie Network.”

Recap of the 2025 Ladies Member-Guest at Hidden Creek

In honor of Women’s Golf Month, we’re sharing a behind the scenes look at our annual Ladies’ Member-Guest tournament. What began at Briggs Ranch in 2023 continued at ArborLinks in 2024—and in 2025, Hidden Creek delivered yet another unforgettable weekend of camaraderie, competition, and community.

“We were very excited to host the 2025 Ladies’ Member Guest here at Hidden Creek”, shared Head Golf Professional Brecken Whitfield. “We had a field of 28 players, which is 14 teams.” The format for the event was a 2-player shamble. Each player would tee off, choose the best drive and then play their own ball until it was holed out from there.

“Everything about the weekend was beautiful; all the details thoughtfully prepared. From the moment we arrived to the final farewell, it was clear how much thought, care and passion went into every detail.”

Day 1: Friday, April 4th

Opening day was all about settling in and warming up—literally and figuratively. The air carried a crisp edge all day, a gentle reminder that spring hadn’t fully settled in. “I believe all 14 teams arrived in time to play some practice rounds,” shared Brecken. That evening, once all the ladies went to dinner in the clubhouse, the Hidden Creek team placed surprise gifts in the cottages that included a gorgeous sterling cut glass trinket box and a signature Dormie Network robe. As the sun set, the spirit of friendly competition came alive on the clubhouse back porch where Assistant Golf Professional Sean Loreaux hosted a closest-to-the-pin chipping contest to the #9 green. The winner received a gift card to the Golf Shop!

Day 2: Saturday, April 5th

“As the ladies came down for breakfast, we had a variety Hidden Creek Imperial crewneck sweatshirts and beanies ready for them to choose as their next gift!” shared Merchandise Manager Sahsha Lovermi. The forecast delivered a cooler-than-expected day, making the gift all the more perfectly timed. At 9:30 a.m., the ladies were off to their respective holes for the first round. Between sips of hot chocolate and coffee—some sweetened with a splash of Baileys—players kept warm and savored every swing. After play concluded, Cheffrey (Executive Chef Jeffrey Parenty) held a culinary masterclass in the clubhouse, which quickly became a fan favorite. The evening festivities continued with a lively round of trivia and a photo booth setup that captured plenty of laughs.

“The food was outstanding, and the culinary masterclass by Chef Jeffrey was an added bonus! The gifts were generous and creative, and the atmosphere was nothing short of joyful.”

Day 3: Sunday, April 6th

The final day had a 9 a.m. start time. When the ladies arrived to their carts at the driving range, the final gift was waiting for them, a Bettinardi Atlantic City-themed putter cover.

After the round, the top three teams advanced to a shootout which was formatted as a team scramble on holes #8 and #9. In a dramatic finish, a chip-off determined the champions by mere inches.

Winners took home beautifully etched wooden serving trays from Cappai Design, featuring the Hidden Creek clubhouse.

“Overall, it was a great time, and the ladies really enjoyed themselves and it came down to a very intense shootout!" said Brecken.

“What an amazing time at the Ladies Member-Guest Tournament at Hidden Creek! From the incredible gifts to the inspiring women, trivia challenges, cooking class, and a fun photobooth – this event had it all! Being involved in organizing such a fantastic day boosted my confidence and deepened my commitment to growing in the golf industry. Can't wait to do it all over again in 2026!”
