Unmistakably Dormie: Meet the Masters Behind the Network's Signature Experiences

With Dormie Network membership, every club in the Network is your home club—complete with full access and a standard of hospitality.

But what truly makes a place feel like home? The people.

Across every property, Dormie Network staff are masters of their craft, innovators in their fields, and architects of your most cherished memories. They devote their careers to a single pursuit: crafting experiences that are unmistakably Dormie.

This is the heartbeat behind the most extraordinary overnight experiences in private golf.

Masters of the Game

Leading the on-course experience at a Dormie Network golf club is a head golf professional dedicated to making every round exceptional. Each property delivers a golf experience that is “exclusive, premier, and fun,” says Ballyhack Head Golf Professional Matt Bevan

A Class A member of both the PGA of Europe and the PGA of America, Bevan brings a distinguished career in high-end private club hospitality. His philosophy is to “live a life of hospitality rather than treating it as just a job.”

Dormie Network golf professionals are experts at curating memorable experiences. “We excel in golf tournament setup and execution for events as small as eight people, to celebrity Pro-Ams catering to more than 150 players,” Bevan explains.

Central to this experience is the Network’s caddie program. “The caddies are well trained, attentive, and often form meaningful and lasting relationships with our members and guests,” says Bevan. Caddies bring a familiar face with prior knowledge of group needs and style, while also guiding newer groups around challenging courses like Ballyhack or Victoria National.

Behind the scenes, golf professionals do far more than manage play. They mentor teams, develop talent, and shape the culture of each club. Spencer Schaulis, former assistant at Ballyhack, was promoted to head golf professional at ArborLinks in February 2026, a move that reflects that deep commitment to growth.

The Network's mantra of “first-in-class golf and hospitality” is equally supported by a dedicated agronomy team. With ongoing investments in equipment, staffing, and course improvements, conditions remain consistently world-class. “Ballyhack Director of Agronomy Lee Price has instilled a passion and expertise that combines hard work with the knowledge to lead a team and deliver exceptional results time after time,” says Bevan.

At the end of the day, the goal is to walk off the 18th green thinking, "Wow, when can I come back?"

When the round concludes, the experience doesn’t. It continues seamlessly as you settle into an onsite cottage where the same level of care and attention awaits.

Masters of the Stay

With approximately 60 beds per property, each stay is designed to feel personal—not crowded. This scale lets the concierge and hospitality teams focus on what matters most: meaningful service.

“This allows us to focus on the service touch points key to creating unique onsite experiences,” says Briggs Ranch Concierge Katelyn Klimczak. From managing reservations to coordinating every detail of your visit, these teams create a seamless, tailored experience from arrival to departure. Klimczak describes the onsite lodging experience at Dormie Network clubs as tranquil, curated, and lavish.

At the core of it all is relationship-building. Concierge and hospitality teams take the time to learn member preferences, remember the small details, and engage consistently. “Over time, that allows us to anticipate their needs, whether it’s having something ready upon arrival, offering personalized recommendations, or stepping in before they even have to ask,” she explains.

Above everything, the team prides itself on world-class hospitality. “The golf game may not always play out as hoped, but if we can control anything, it is the warm environment our members and guests are surrounded by,” says Klimczak about the one feeling she wants every member to carry with them.

At Dormie Network, a stay isn’t just about where you sleep—it’s about how you’re cared for while you’re there.

Masters of the Kitchen

What sets Dormie Network’s culinary program apart from other golf experiences across the country? “We are one of the only ones that really tailor the culinary experience to your group,” says Dormie Club Executive Chef Josh Reeves.

Each Network property has a dedicated culinary team, turning every visit into a true destination for golf-loving foodies. Chef Reeves describes the culinary experience at each club as refined, distinctive, and memorable. It is an extension of the same excellence found on the course and in the cottages.

“The great thing about Dormie Network is that each of our clubs focuses on regional cuisine,” says Chef Reeves. “Wherever you go in the Network, you’ll experience a taste of the area, making you feel truly connected to the region.”

Behind that experience is a team of highly skilled chefs who balance creativity with precision. Chef Reeves brings extensive experience leading high-performing kitchens with strict standards for detail and consistency. Beyond execution, he is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of culinarians—developing talent that grows into leadership roles across the Network.

Network chefs design seasonal menus that balance creativity, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction. “Our chefs bring in what is fresh on the market and put it on the menu as offerings,” says Chef Reeves. That flexibility extends to the full range of experiences on offer from large-scale events to multi-course tastings. “Whether it's a barbecue on the range for just your group or a special steak dinner in your cottage, we can do whatever you like.”

Dormie Network culinary teams embrace continuous learning, rooted in accountability, urgency, and craftsmanship. Through hands-on research, cross-training, and post-service reviews, they refine their approach while staying attuned to regional influences and industry trends. Collaboration drives innovation, with ideas from every level, as chefs seek outside inspiration to deliver consistently exceptional, memorable culinary experiences.

The kitchens themselves are built to match the menu and service style. State-of-the-art equipment—including combi ovens, high-BTU ranges, and wood-burning grills—supports kitchens where stations are mapped for flow, communication, and efficiency during peak service. Mise en place discipline and consistent organization support quality across every service.

A unique advantage within the Network is the opportunity for chefs to travel between properties. This exchange fosters the sharing of ideas and techniques that elevate each club. It also strengthens brand-wide consistency while preserving each location’s character. “It builds a stronger, more connected culinary culture across the Network,” says Chef Reeves.

Masters of the Shop

Each Dormie Network property features an onsite golf shop stocked with premium apparel, gear, and top brands—but the experience extends beyond retail. It is an extension of the club’s personality. GrayBull Club Merchandise Manager Lindsey Hadden describes it as unique, captivating, and friendly.

Before GrayBull, Hadden spent time as the merchandise manager at ArborLinks where she grew the ladies’ sales.

Dormie Network golf shops are one-of-a-kind in their ability to tell a story through merchandise. Each property incorporates its own distinctive identity into its offerings. “Every Network golf shop is great about showcasing specific aspects that are unique to them,” Hadden explains. From Dormie Club’s beloved mascot Snickers the Duck to Victoria National’s turtle, ArborLinks’ drive-through silo, Ballyhack’s goats, Briggs Ranch’s mini longhorns, and Hidden Creek playing off Atlantic City, each location brings its character to life through thoughtfully designed products.

The Network's newest club, GrayBull Club, is already building its own fan favorites into the merchandise mix. “This season, we’re adding the yellow pickup onto more merchandise, such as headcovers and towels.” The vintage Ford pickup parked between holes 13 and 14 has quickly become a signature symbol of the club. “We’re really excited to bring American Needle course map hoodies to GrayBull, as we did these a few years ago at ArborLinks and they were a hit!” says Hadden.

Staying ahead of trends is central to the merchandise strategy. Close relationships with vendor reps provide valuable insight into what's resonating across the industry, and the team attends the annual PGA Show each January to explore new products and gather inspiration. Hadden notes that their work often shapes trends rather than following them. “When we create unique or fun designs for miscellaneous items, they might end up in catalogs the following year, and that’s where many of us draw inspiration,” says Hadden.

What truly distinguishes the Dormie Network retail experience, though, is its personalization, extending beyond the shop floor to services like custom cottage gifting and corporate packages. Not all destination clubs offer this level of customization, and it allows members to spoil their guests for a genuinely memorable time on property.

“I think relationship-building is one of our greatest strengths,” Hadden says. “It allows us to better understand what our members and their guests will enjoy.”

One Membership, Endless Experiences

Across every role and every property, one thing remains constant: excellence is shared, taught, and continuously refined. Every detail is considered. Every interaction is intentional. Every experience is elevated.

It’s this collective commitment that allows members and their guests to focus on what matters most—time together, unforgettable moments, and a sense of belonging that carries from club to club.

That feeling is unmistakably Dormie.
