The Dishes & Drinks You’ll Find at ArborLinks

ArborLinks | Nebraska City, Nebraska

First-time visitors may not know what to expect from a private destination golf club in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Down two miles of cornfield-flanked gravel road sits lush ArborLinks, the first Dormie Network club.

The club’s upscale, classic steakhouse cuisine is a match for its modern farmhouse aesthetic, with an open concept dining room and bar, and a luxe downstairs wine room with lounge. Both indoor dining areas, in addition to a private board room, two outdoor patios, and sizeable community firepit, set the scene for the club’s specialty Piedmontese steaks, barbecue, and other elevated comfort food.

This unique culinary experience is for the meat lovers, curated by Chef Nick Stukenholtz and tailored to your palate, flaunting the very best Midwestern Certified Piedmontese beef.

Here's a sneak peek into what your tastebuds can expect when they embark on the culinary adventures found at ArborLinks.

Dining Experiences Tailored to Your Group

Whether you plan to dine in the clubhouse or at your cottage, the team welcomes special requests and can typically alter any dish to meet your specifications. The team can even work with you to develop a dining experience from scratch to match your group's unique tastes.

The most popular family-style meal is ArborLinks’ barbecue feast: made-to-order brisket, pork ribs, and smoked chicken, with corn bread, potato salad, and an indulgent dessert of your choice (maybe the dessert charcuterie board with cheesecake squares and macarons?).

For a meal that really impresses, we recommend the family style steakhouse dinner. This massive meat-centric spread features sliced ribeye, potato puree, truffle fries, seasonal vegetables, Caesar salad, and a charcuterie board to start.

Bringing a buddy group or just looking for something casual while your group gets settled in? Try the stag special: sliders, wings, and appetizers with plenty of beer on ice.

Feast in Comfort with Cottage Dining

Dine in style at one of ArborLinks' cottages.

The perfect addition to meetings or private parties in the cottage, drop dinners offer an intimate alternative to the dining room. Generous portions of specialty Piedmontese beef cuts, fried chicken, or menus of your own creation are brought in hot and plated on the bar top buffet-style. Chef and team ensure a 30-minute check in, to see if your group needs anything else to round out the meal (Busch Light is a favorite at ArborLinks, though red wine and Tito’s are popular as well!). Then, it’s your call if you’d like the team to whisk away the dishes that evening or wait until the morning.

While cottage dinners can be configured for any size group, they work best in the larger 8/12-plex cottages, which have large dining tables and a bar top with plenty of space for all the accompaniments.

Pro tip: for your next trip, request breakfast burritos to be brought to the cottage, perfect for early meetings or while your group preps to hit the course.

The Big Beef Experience & Other Northwoods Delights

With the new Northwoods complex comes an all-new way to dine: anytime fare from the chef’s trailer (not unlike the Truck Stop at Briggs Ranch!). From fresh pizzas straight from the oven to Piedmontese tomahawk steaks, to blackened redfish, the food trailer is the perfect appetizer stop for cocktail hour.

Typically stationed near Northwoods, though it brings the heat for tournaments as well, this trailer is truly full service, with three individual pizza ovens, three grills, flat top, and refrigeration.

You won’t want to miss the Big Beef Experience, a meaty delight of all the Piedmontese cuts the club has to offer.

Refill Mid-Round with Gourmet Snacks and Sips

Hot popcorn, cool ice cream sandwiches, and plenty of liquor options to top up your cup await at the comfort station located near #4 and #13 tees.

While refreshing your cart with turn snacks, be sure to grab one of the network’s famous slushies—Transfusion is consistency on tap, and the second station rotates between margaritas and John Dalys.

And speaking of birdie juice, we recommend investigating the drive-through silo near the 18th green for a little surprise.

Enduring Favorites and Elevated Enhancements from the Dining Room Menu

If you’re craving something a little more lowkey than a lavish cottage dinner, have a small group, or something from the menu has piqued your interest, we invite you to the clubhouse dining room

ArborLinks' midwest cuisine, including the Big Piedmontese Beef Experience, is lead by Chef Nick Stukenholtz.

Chef Nick Stukenholtz

There are several cuts of Piedmontese beef on the menu, and all could be made even more special with a decadent add-on: roasted bone marrow, bacon-wrapped shrimp, caramelized onions, or roasted mushrooms.

Other crowd-pleasers include staples like brisket grilled cheese, the orchard salad, and sausages and brats made in-house to ensure the quality and flavors members have come to expect.

The focus on in-house preparation, led by Chef Nick, is the secret ingredient to quality control and flavor customization. Everything from cutting steaks to smoking  meats, to handcrafting sausages, happens right at the club.

All that great cuisine deserves something just as special to wash it down with. We recommend you round out your meal with an apple cider mule, local-favorite smoked Manhattan, or a vintage from the wine room. And afterward? A bourbon tasting at the firepit, of course.

Whether you're fueling up for a day on the greens, savoring the company of your group over a lavish steak dinner, or satisfying a midnight craving, the dining experience at ArborLinks brings the comforts of home to the heart of Nebraska. Bring your appetite on your next visit, because the flavors of ArborLinks are a destination in themselves.
