GOLF spotlights Dormie Network in a feature story that includes insights from President Zach Peed. The article explores the origin of the Network’s name, the evolution of its nationwide golf clubs, and what members can expect from the unique, high-touch experience at each club.
From the Great Plains to Pinehurst: A Network Redefining Private Destination Golf
Zach Peed, an avid golfer with an entrepreneur’s creative eye, surveyed the American private club market and saw something missing.
For barebones convenience, local country clubs checked the basic boxes. But what they offered in ease of access they often lacked in premium golf and personalized service. Even as a member, you risked feeling like a number. Exclusive clubs, meanwhile, combined prestigious courses with red-carpet treatment. But they also kept you tied to a single property, with reciprocal arrangements at a smattering of clubs that might—or might not—welcome you with open arms.
Peed had a different model in mind.
In 2015, he invested in ArborLinks Golf Club, an Arnold Palmer Signature course in Peed’s home state of Nebraska. Set on the rumpled ground of the Great Plains, ArborLinks took its cues from classic Scottish links, with rugged bunkers, gently lilting fairways and strategic challenges that favored brains over brawn.
It was pure golf, as Peed preferred it. It was also the foundation for a membership structure unlike any in the game.
“From the very beginning,” Peed says, “we saw the vision for something bigger than any one golf course.”
A decade later, one golf course has grown into Dormie Network, a constellation of marquee destination clubs, stretching from Nebraska to New Jersey and connected through a high-end national membership program that caters to discerning golf junkies on the go, whether they’re traveling for business entertainment or indulging in a dream buddies’ trip. To belong to one club in the Network is to belong them all—a dealer’s choice of seven properties, each boasting world-class golf and hospitality to match.
